Therapy Style

Therapy is all about self-acceptance and rediscovering yourself. In therapy with me, I will learn about you as you are your own self expert, you know yourself best. From there, we learn what has been working and not working for you. The relationship we build in therapy is essential to the effectiveness in your treatment. I use a holistic approach, which incorporates rational emotive behavioral, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, client centered, psychodynamic, and family systems therapy. I also have experience in multicultural and biracial issues. I provide feedback, insights, tools, coping mechanisms, and sometimes homework to assist you on this journey to have a happier, balanced, and fulfilled life.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I wanted to help others through their issues like others have done for me.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I like walking and observing things around me. I like watching shows.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Providing myself compassion.

What book have you read more than once?

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes because of the emotional journey of the main character.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Planned Parenthood because every women deserves rights.

How do you recharge?

Monthly massage, not speaking with anyone after 8pm except my husband, watching shows or reading

Do you have any pets?

I have 2 cats. My favorite story is when our cats first met my daughter.
