My Therapy Style

I am a warm and engaged therapist and support clients through compassionate listening, practical guidance, and an action-oriented approach to assist them in making the changes they want in their lives.

I offer 25+ years of experience working with adults struggling with issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, addictive behavior, grief, interpersonal issues, adoption, divorce recovery, and parenting. My approach is mind-body oriented and utilizes an Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, somatic, and mindfulness-based practices.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I love people's stories and am fascinated by what influences them, as well as how they can free themselves from their limited self-concept and past wounds.

What are your interests outside of work?

Reading, yoga, hiking with my dog, dancing, singing, and traveling.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Get at least 8 hours of sleep.

Do you have any pets?

I have a dog, Luna, and a cat, Mushroom. Our cat was named by my daughter who meant to name him Marshmellow but used to call them Mushrooms.
