Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic
I have been practicing psychotherapy for 10 years in New York City. I describe my approach as warm, welcoming, empathic, open-minded, culturally competent, and humorous. Life is hard enough, so I like to laugh with my clients! I love to listen and help my clients have their "aha" moments as well as see things from a different perspective.

I became a therapist so I could be to others what I needed growing up. I was a depressed, anxious child with an incarcerated parent and was bullied, and I desperately needed someone to talk to. I began working with depressed, anxious, oppositional children early in my career. As time progressed, I enjoyed working with teenagers as well and now I enjoy working with adults.
Music. I am also a journalist and have been an entertainment writer for a decade as well. I also love riding my Peloton bike, watching documentaries, and trying new juice recipes.
Everyday I listen to music. I find joy in finding new albums to listen to as well. It's helped me cope since I was a child.
Yes. Our family dog is Polo Hudson. We got him from an abusive household 10 months after my father died in 2011. We were all pretty depressed and missing my father and Polo came and changed our lives.
