Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

My journey toward the field of mental well-being was sparked by a strong desire to establish meaningful connections and offer support to those in need. Through personal experiences and my professional endeavors, I have witnessed the profound impact that sorrow and trauma can have on individuals' lives. I firmly believe that the most crucial aspect of existence is the authentic path we create for ourselves. When we find the courage to embrace our true identities, we become prepared to embark on a transformative journey of healing

What are your interests outside of work?

Living a well-rounded life is something I consistently encourage my clients to do, and I make an effort to practice it myself. Connecting with nature is one of my ultimate grounding necessities. You can often find me running on the trails or enjoying the soothing sounds of the ocean waves at the beach. I cherish the time spent in the company of friends and family. I have a deep appreciation for live music and exploring new culinary food destinations.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Movement! Whenever I crave fresh air or some personal space, I quickly put on my shoes and step outside This is always a way for me to let go, unwind, and decompress. Music is a constant companion for me. Whether it's playing in my ears through my headphones or resonating from my car's speakers, I find myself swaying to the beat.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

The Cancer Support Community of San Gabriel Valley is my preferred nonprofit organization. They offer extensive care and assistance to both patients undergoing treatment and their family members who are involved in caregiving or dealing with bereavement. Additionally, they provide a wide range of educational resources and activities to the community.

How do you recharge?

I find the beach to be the place where I am the most content and tranquil. I could be there for hours and not notice how much time has passed. I am a nerd for all things coffee. You can often find me at a local coffee shop or exploring the next foodie spot.

Do you have any pets?

I hold two pups close to me. One resides in my heart while the other is physically present. My sweet boy Finn, passed away a couple of years ago, and he was the love of my life. Recently, I adopted another pup to honor Finn's memory, and this new addition has brought me immense happiness and so much joy. I am truly grateful for my furry babies and the unconditional love they provide.
