When you work with me in therapy you might notice that you feel comfortable very quickly, in part, due to my friendliness. If you speak Spanish, we can speak Spanglish and use common sayings or "dichos." I can validate many of your experiences being of Latinx descent and normalize some of these things based on my background being a first-generation child of Mexican immigrants as well as my extensive experience working with people from different Latinx backgrounds. I am very open-minded and know you're the expert in your life. You can share as much as you feel comfortable sharing while we build trust and work through your traumas.

I became a mental health professional after seeing all the trauma that people on my Social Services caseload had and felt frustrated not being able to help them overcome these things. I knew this was something I could do to help.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, going hiking, doing yoga, and dancing.
I take care of my mental health by making sure that I have regular, balanced meals, and take breaks from my toddler while doing a workout class.
The Giver because I have been able to pick up on nuances and details that I missed the first few times.
Metztli Counseling Services because the team can provide pro-bono services to people who are otherwise unable to afford or qualify for mental health services.
As an extrovert, I recharge by having social interactions with close friends and family. When I am overstimulated, I recharge by resting and getting space.
I have a small terrier mix named Prince. One day he suddenly became very cuddly with me and I later found out that I was pregnant!
