Therapy Style

I’ve had training in various modalities but ultimately use an eclectic approach emphasizing cognitive behavior therapy. I operate from the position that our thoughts strongly influence our moods and actions. My clients will gain a more intuitive understanding of themselves, better process their situation and consider which course of action makes the most sense. With some flexibility, a healthier perspective, and the right support, clients find that they are much more resilient and that situations don’t have to be as detrimental. My goal as your therapist is to support you on your path called life.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?

At the end of my busy days, I refocus back onto my family - my wife and children - they are why I do what I do and why I will always continue to push forward in life.

What book have you read more than once?

Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl; it's a glimpse of the challenging times some people experienced during the holocaust. Amongst other things, it emphasizes that people can often only control their responses to situations.

How do you recharge?

Typically, 1-2 times per year we have family vacations; those are especially relaxing - I very much enjoy traveling to more tropical destinations and absolutely love swimming and snorkeling - I find it to be extremely therapeutic for me.
