In Massachusetts, we are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Evernorth, and Centivo. Online therapy in Massachusetts, like any other state, works by connecting you with a qualified therapist who matches your indicated needs and preferences. You will meet your therapist through a secure video platform using your computer or phone, so you can have your session in a comfortable location such as your home. During your first session, your therapist will understand your history of emotional concerns and how different aspects of your life are going. Then, your therapist will develop a “treatment plan” with you in order to have a roadmap for what you will focus on during the following sessions, in order to achieve your specific goals for therapy.
The therapist you need depends on the specific concerns or goals you would like to address in therapy. Octave therapists are skilled in providing individual, couples, and family therapy and are well versed in a variety of clinically backed approaches (such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy) in order to address a wide range of conditions and concerns, such as anxiety, depression and stress.
Therapy costs range depending on your insurance provider; on average, Octave clients pay $28 per therapy session. To calculate how much therapy costs in Massachusetts with your insurance provider or out-of-pocket, please visit our insurance page.
