I help people come face to face with the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that keep them feeling stuck and unfulfilled in life, marriage, and important relationships.

My Therapy Style

I help people come face to face with the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that keep them feeling stuck and unfulfilled in life, marriage, and important relationships. I am passionate about helping people live a healthy and meaningful life as well as helping marriages and relationships thrive.

While I believe that the past is important to understand the present and develop self-compassion, our work together will largely focus on the present. We will spend time processing your experiences as well as developing skills and tools to best support you on your growth journey. I use a variety of evidence-based interventions, tailored to your strengths and needs. Go-to therapeutic approaches utilized in our work together include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based, Positive Psychology, Couples Therapy/Gottman Method.

I work collaboratively with you throughout the therapeutic process, to build a trusting and supportive relationship. It matters that you feel heard and understood. I will meet you were you are and consistently encourage your healing and growth.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

My initial interest was rooted in a quest to understand human behavior. More specifically, I wanted to understand what made people do what they do. I wanted to work for the FBI profiling high-profile criminals. As I learned more about human behavior, had the opportunity to sit with people in a lot of emotional pain, and reflected on my own painful experiences, I became passionate about helping people in this capacity.

What are your interests outside of work?

I take contemporary dance classes, spend time with my husband and two sons, go on walks, connect with family and friends.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I practice gratitude and affirmations.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

I tend to not do favorites, but I support organizations/non-profits for military veterans. My husband and I served as well several members of our families. I stand behind causes to provided mental health support, support for families, etc. There is so much unspoken pain specifically in military/veteran population and one of the reasons I pursued this career path as a therapist.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by listening to music and burning scented candles, intentionally for at least 30 minutes.
