Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-based
I view therapy as a collaboration between client and therapist. I like to co-create an individualized treatment plan to help you reach your goals, whatever they may be. Typically, I draw from a variety of approaches, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe each person has their own unique strengths and I like to use those as a cornerstone for helping them to improve their life. In addition, we can explore new skills and how those might help. My goal is to be flexible in my style and help meet you where you are at by tailoring my approach.
I have specialized training in perinatal mental health, including a Perinatal Mental Health-Certificate. That means I can treat people who are pregnant and experiencing mental health changes as well as those who have anxiety, depression, or bipolar episodes after giving birth.

Some of my favorite interests are reading, getting outside for a hike or to the beach, and playing with my kids.
I try to take some time to myself, which can be a challenge as a parent. Sometimes it's reading a book, taking a walk, or talking to a friend or family.
